Arte tedesca, probabilmente Norimberga, secolo XVI. Pietà, gruppo in legno di tiglio scolpito. Al verso Numero di inventario in bianco: "Pl. O. 102".Sul retro si trova l'iscrizione in olio giallo: Ex voto / A grande onore di Dio, Sebastian Öttinger, costruttore del santo custode, fece restaurare questo dipinto. Tale scultura apparteneva un tempo alla collezione del Germanisches Nationalmuseum di Norimberga (n. inv. Tav. O. 102). La breve descrizione del precedente catalogo del museo (vedi: Walter Josephi, 1910) al numero di catalogo 428 recitava: "Maria con il corpo di Cristo disteso a terra, appoggiato al ginocchio destro - gruppo con schiena appiattita e incavata. Legno di tiglio, sverniciato e tinto di marrone, con tracce di gesso... Maria, vestita con una lunga tunica coperta da un mantello, con il capo avvolto in un velo e uno scialle, è inginocchiata, con le mani giunte in preghiera, dietro il Cristo con la barba e la corona di spine, avvolto in un perizoma, la cui schiena poggia sul ginocchio della gamba destra eretta. La mano destra di Cristo è abbassata a terra, la sinistra poggia sul braccio sinistro della Madre."

This sculpture once belonged to the collection of the Germanisches Nationalmuseum in Nuremberg (no. inv. Tav. O. 102). The brief description of the museum’s previous catalogue (see: Walter Josephi, 1910) at catalogue number 428 read: "Mary with the body of Christ lying on the ground, leaning on her right knee - group with flattened and recessed back. Lime wood, stripped and dyed brown, with traces of chalk... Mary, dressed in a long tunic covered by a cloak, with her head wrapped in a veil and a shawl, is kneeling, her hands joined in prayer, behind the Christ with his beard and crown of thorns, wrapped in a turtleneck, whose back rests on the knee of the right leg erect. The right hand of Christ is lowered to the ground, the left resting on the left arm of the Mother."
