Three copies of this retired passenger train provide the foundations for a larger LEGO railway. Each includes a motorised three-car train, infrared remote, track circuit and small station platform, combining matching rolling stock with the infrastructure to expand a layout.
The repeated design creates useful possibilities: display a coordinated fleet, combine track sections into a larger circuit or use the additional centre coaches to assemble a longer express. The streamlined white trains also represent LEGO’s infrared-control era, with dedicated handsets offering seven speeds. Gathered together and still sealed, these sets have particular appeal for railway builders seeking several matching examples of a discontinued design.
