Rv.  Nero, bareheaded, wearing cuirass and short tunic, on horse prancing right, carrying spear in rest in right hand; to left, a soldier also on horseback, carrying vexillum in right hand sloped over shoulder; DECVRSIO in exergue, S C across upper field. RIC 170; BMC 143. A wonderful piece, perfectly centred on a broad flan with as attractive golden riverine patina. Extremely fine.
