    Condition: new
    Year of the Photo: 2025

Provenance: Directly from the artist and EdiFore srl / Image in Progress magazine
    Biography:
Born in Rome (Italy) in 1984, Stefano Delìa is an Italian photographer and visual artist with more than twenty years of experience. His practice moves across multiple languages — from conceptual photography to documentary projects, from food and luxury still-life to cinematic narratives — while maintaining a consistently recognizable authorial identity: the transformation of matter, the tension between the natural and the artificial, and the relationship between body, object, and environment. He graduated with honours in Communication Sciences from the University of Rome "Tor Vergata" in 2008. In 2009 he was selected for a Magnum Photos workshop with Chris Steele Perkins — joined by Bruce Gilden, Carl De Keyzer and Antoine d’Agata — and the final works were exhibited at MACBA, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Barcelona. Later that same year he entered the studio of photographer Fabio Lovino (Contrasto), becoming his first assistant until 2012, an experience that shaped his approach to portraiture, set dynamics, and large scale productions. In 2012 he became the photo editor of the online magazine LeCool Roma, curating covers for numerous artists and illustrators from Rome’s contemporary scene. He later became the head of the visual department at the communication agency BLANK — which he contributed to founding — overseeing photographic and video productions until 2023. His work is grounded in slow, analytical, often site-specific processes in which photography becomes an instrument of ontological observation: not to represent what is already visible, but to reveal what usually remains hidden. His professional experience spans the luxury world — Dom Pérignon, Ruinart, Krug, Burberry, Alcantara — as well as international film and television, collaborating with HBO, Netflix, and various production companies, together with starred chefs such as Niko Romito, Heinz Beck, Tommaso Tonioni, Domenico Marotta and many other leading figures in contemporary gastronomy. This hybrid dimension allows him to combine technical precision, artistic sensitivity, and narrative depth in projects that speak to institutions, brands, and curatorial contexts. His work has been published in numerous print and online magazines, including The Guardian, Maxim, Vanity Fair, Cook Inc., Food & Wine Italia, la Repubblica, D di Repubblica, Il Manifesto, Il Mattino, Cucina & Vini, The Hollywood Reporter, Variety, GQ and many others. Delìa is represented by Saccage (Rome/Paris), Herd Represent (London) and Image in Progress (Rome) for his fine art limited editions. He is currently expanding his work toward academic and educational fields, bringing his methodology — based on research, critical vision, and a conscious use of contemporary technologies — into advanced teaching programs on photography and creative thinking. His work aims to build a coherent visual ecosystem capable of positioning itself within international circuits of contemporary art, publishing, residencies, festivals, and cultural institutions, while maintaining as a core principle a continuous inquiry into the relationship between image, matter, and identity. Awards & Recognitions • 2006 – Second place, National Award “Il Tuscolo” • 2007 – Multiple placements in FIAF competitions • 2022 – Honourable Mention, Fine Art Photography Awards (Conceptual category)

"In 2008 after a night of heavy rainfall I shot my first reflection. (...) it became a source of inspiration and another way of seeing. When the season changed and dried up, I tried pouring water on concrete with little success. So I began making my own reflections with plastic, water and food colouring - an act of necessity, not something I've seen before or since. I also made paintings on paper that I would lay on the floor and douse with water then shoot within the puddles of pigment. From there I began noticing/using reflections in all kinds of surfaces and objects."

Biography: "I was born in Milan in the 1972 and after a graphic design studies I came to photography almost by chance. After a long stay in Kyoto I felt the desire to begin to document the beauties of that city and its surroundings. Then everything else arrived. Now I like to experiment with new approaches to the subject to be photographed, but I am and will always be fascinated above all by the colors, the clean geometries and the open spaces, with discreet human presences inside them. Whether I am working on personal projects or on commissioned stories, where obviously compromises are necessary for consistency in the story, I always seek the image that can live singly, characterized by its own aesthetics and soul.

Her talent brought her to study at the Medal Art School, learning ancient techniques such as chiselling and wax modeling by Benvenuto Cellini (1500-1571), and low relief. In 2001 she won the Sipleda Project, of the "I Miti di Firenze” contest and, in 2003, she was chosen to make the bronze plaque, bas-relief of the Centenary of the Italian Fencing Federation. In 2008 she created her line of artistic jewelry... In parallel she built a long career first as a model and as actress... When she was 19, she discovered Symbology and meditation, intersecting with the shamanism of the Inca lineage, developing a new vision of herself and the world and a strong interest in Tibetan philosophy and Yoga. Veronica's artistic search points to self-knowledge through different techniques and elements. All of her artistic work is focused on opening a dialogue with the subconscious and the conscience, transforming her works into a window of the soul. She uses photography, acrylic painting, Chinese ink, body-painting, drawings to create a new multidimensional reality. She exhibited in Rome, Buenos Aires, where she lives and work, and in Miami.

Biography: ""I was born in Milan in the 1972 and after a graphic design studies I came to photography almost by chance.
For me in the end only this counts"". Fabrizio Alzati

He graduated with honours in Communication Sciences from the University of Rome ""Tor Vergata"" in 2008.
