Manifattura di Pasquale Rubati, Milano, secolo XVIII. Caffettiera in maiolica con decorazione "alla pagoda", coperchio incernierato in peltro, presa in foggia di frutto a tutto tondo (h. cm 25) e un piatto di medesimo decoro (d. cm 23) (difetti, rotture e restauri)

Questo tipo di decoro di derivazione orientale privilegia forme semplici che assomigliano di più alle porcellane cinesi smerciate in grande quantità sui mercati lombardi dalla Compagnia delle Indie. Il genere conobbe tale successo che la sua produzione si protrasse negli anni e fu prodotta sia dal Clerici che dal Rubati. Un intero servizio 'alla pagoda' è esposto nelle vetrine delle Civiche Raccolte d'Arte del Castello Sforzesco di Milano.
