Lot 36 Markus Lüpertz(b. 1941)
Untitled (female nude, standing). Bronze, primary polychrome specimen EA. Size 33 x 13.5 x 12.5 cm. According to Anna Jill Lüpertz's (daughter of Markus Lüpertz) certificate of authenticity, the torso dates from 1998 and was planned in an edition of only 6 pieces plus 2 EA. However, the edition was not poured out, i.e. not all possible copies were produced. In this respect, the bronze is unique. Casted by Kunstgießerei Schmäke, Düsseldorf.
Provenance: collection/ the estate of famous Udo Walz, who acquired the bronze directly from Markus Lüpertz's studio; Private Collection, Germany
