Con 71 tavole fuori testo incise in rame con principalmente con riproduzioni di monete e medaglie antiche. Qualche pagina brunita. Raro testo in seconda e definitiva edizione dopo quella del 1753. Il libro, affascinante e ben illustrato, esplora le leggi relative alle monete e alle medaglie nel diritto romano, con alcuni commenti su questi argomenti nel diritto feudale e canonico. Gli argomenti spaziano dai pesi e dalla purezza dei metalli alle immagini e alle iscrizioni.

Some toning to text, light soiling and contemporary owner manuscript signature before the title page. A handsome volume with a scarce title. Second and final edition. First published in 1753, this fascinating and well-illustrated book explore laws relating to coins and medals in Roman law, with some commentary on these topics in feudal and canon law. Topics range from weights and purity of metals to images and inscriptions. Few copies in North American libraries.
