Arte Cinese Placca in porcellana smaltata raffigurante un uomo ed un pipistrello. Reca iscrizione, marchio e firma dell'artista Wang Qi (1884-6/1937)

L'iscrizione riporta probabilmente il luogo, la data ed il nome dell'artista Wang Qi specializzato nella decorazione di placche raffiguranti figure. Le sue prime opere seguono lo stile gongbi, caratterizzato dal fine contorno dei personaggi rappresentati, mentre nelle opere più mature si assiste allo sviluppo di uno stile più libero e calligrafico.
Una mattonella firmata dallo stesso artista è stata venduta da Christie's nel maggio 2014 (asta 5295 lotto 1243) ed un'altra da Sotheby's Londra il 7 novembre 2007, lotto 483.

The inscription is likely to indicate the place, the date and the name of the artist Wang Qi, specialized in the decoration of plaques depicting characters. His first works are in the gongbi style, characterized by the fine outlines of the subjects, while in the works from later years the style becomes more personale and mannered.
A tile signed by the same artist was auctioned by Christie's in May 2014 (auction 5295 lot 1243) and another by Sotheby's London on November 7, 2007, lot 483.
