LEGO 291 – Blackboard and School Desk 1973
12.5 x 10 x 5 cm
Dating from 1973, this 89-piece Homemaker set captures a classroom from more than half a century ago. Its blackboard and school desk belong to an early period when LEGO explored everyday interiors through larger-scale furniture and room settings.
The contemporary catalogue presented these models as dolls’ furniture—a reminder that this set predates the modern LEGO minifigure by five years. That different scale gives it a distinctive place in the company’s history, before minifigure towns became familiar childhood landmarks. Long retired and offered complete, it is an appealing addition for collectors exploring LEGO’s early-1970s designs and the Homemaker range.
Used and complete. Pieces supplied in a ziplock bag.
