Pur non potendo attribuire con certezza il dipinto alla mano di Le Pautre, l’attinenza con l’incisione, conservata al Victoria & Albert Museum di Londra, è evidente, tanto quanto è evidente che l’ispirazione nasce dal disegno, non dalla stampa che ovviamente è in controparte. Si veda:

Although the painting cannot be attributed with certainty to the hand of Jean Le Pautre, its close relationship with the print preserved in the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, is unmistakable. Equally evident is that the composition derives directly from the original drawing rather than from the print itself, which, as expected, is in reverse. You should see:
