Il Beaufort Hunt Cup era una delle principali competizioni organizzate dal Beaufort Hunt, storico club inglese patrocinato dai Duchi di Beaufort. Disputata sul percorso di Sherston (Wiltshire), la gara rientrava nel circuito delle tradizionali hunt steeple chases, corse a ostacoli strettamente legate al mondo della caccia alla volpe. L'iscrizione ricorda la vittoria del 3 aprile 1909 di Seabreeze IV, cavallo appartenente, allenato e montato dal proprietario Stanley Berry, esempio della consuetudine degli owner-riders che caratterizzava questo genere di competizioni.

The Beaufort Hunt Cup was one of the principal competitions organised by the Beaufort Hunt, the historic English club patronised by the Dukes of Beaufort. Held over the Sherston course (Wiltshire), the race formed part of the traditional hunt steeplechase circuit, a type of obstacle race closely associated with the world of fox hunting. The inscription records the victory of Seabreeze IV on 3 April 1909, a horse owned, trained and ridden by its owner Stanley Berry, an example of the owner-rider tradition that characterised this type of competition.
