L'opera, probabilmente prese spunto dalle invenzioni di Rubens, fu eseguita con una spigliatezza tecnica che ricorda l'atelier dei Francken. Gli angeli, in particolare, desunti tramite Rubens dalla scuola italiana, ricordano opere simili eseguite da Abraham Bloemaert.

The work was probably inspired by Rubens’s inventions and executed with a technical ease reminiscent of the Francken workshop. The angels, in particular derived through Rubens from the Italian school, recall similar compositions painted by Abraham Bloemaert.
