Emiliano Bossoletti (1994 Rome, Italy) is a dietician and photographer based in Rome.

He grew up as a polyhedric person, with a constant conflict of his creative and rational sides, shaping his character and personality in both directions.

His past as a former professional swimmer taught him the value of discipline, organization and seriousness, which brought him to follow with the same attitude also his greatest passion, photography. Discovered when he was 23, it started as a hobby, then it became his main reason for happiness.

First self-taught, he began studying the art of photography at “Centro Sperimentale Fotografia Adams” in Rome, where he experienced first-hand the amazing complexity of this artistic expression whilst being surrounded by kindred souls.

Inspired by artists such as Luigi Ghirri, Mario Giacomelli and recently by Trent Parke, he admires their different portrayals of reality, how they experiment through photography and their braveness in giving voice to their inner selves. Their photographic heritage keeps on feeding Emiliano’s curiosity, allowing him to grow and build his own personal visual language, focused on research for minimalism, geometries and shapes, mainly in Black and White, with a cinematic twist.

From Antonioni to Lynch, cinema constantly keeps him in awe of life and human nature, forming another huge influence on his imagery.
The many ways reality can be represented make him wonder how both easy and complex life is and how fulfilling can be to express it according to one’s own personal view.

Biography: ""I was born in Milan in the 1972 and after a graphic design studies I came to photography almost by chance. After a long stay in Kyoto I felt the desire to begin to document the beauties of that city and its surroundings. Then everything else arrived. Now I like to experiment with new approaches to the subject to be photographed, but I am and will always be fascinated above all by the colors, the clean geometries and the open spaces, with discreet human presences inside them. Whether I am working on personal projects or on commissioned stories, where obviously compromises are necessary for consistency in the story, I always seek the image that can live singly, characterized by its own aesthetics and soul.
For me in the end only this counts"". Fabrizio Alzati
