Born in Rome in 1982, Guido Gambardella discovered his passion for photography through his father, an entrepreneur in the pharmaceutical industry. It was in the darkroom his father had assembled at home that the young Guido first learned to look, to observe, and to experiment — a formative initiation into the alchemy of light and image. Following his graduation in Interior Architecture from the Università La Sapienza (Valle Giulia) in 2008, he travelled to London and New York City, where an immersion in the city's vibrant photographic circles led him to acquire his first Canon. From that moment, photography ceased to be merely an inheritance and became a language entirely his own — at once a vocation, a profession, and the most reliable way he has ever found of feeling at home in the world.

Provenance: Directly from Majo Jurčík / EdiFore srl / Image in Progress magazine

Majo Jurcik is a Slovakian Fine Art and Commercial photographer. He got into photography at university, multimedia technologies, University of Žilina. Already in the beginning, he was able to impress publishing houses, magazines, celebrities with many collaborations… In 2010, his photo „Thirst for life“ was exhibited at Prague Photo in the Best nude of the year exhibition. And in that occasion, what he was best at was eventually defined. His endless inspiration is woman and in particular the female body, a celebration of female beauty from a male perspective. Actually, he perceives nudity as something extremely normal and free, rather than something forbidden. However, he avoids showing it in the foreground, but still he considers his images as a reflection of his inner soul. He also tends to projects about female agility, the flexibility of ballerinas, figure skaters, and yoga models. In his photography there is a combination of pure beauty, sensuality, sophisticated provocation and also a hard-to-capture intersection of perfectionism and naturalness. In 2019, he has been discovered by Image in Progress and introduced to the international art market and now hundreds of his works have been collected by people from France, Italy, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands and many other countries.

HAPAX is the pseudonym of an Italian photographer and visual artist born in Rome in 1984. The name comes from hapax legomenon — a term in linguistics for a word that appears only once in a text — and reflects the core principle of his practice: every image is an unrepeatable event, a singular encounter between the photographer, a place, and a quality of light that will never occur again in the same way.

His work is built around slow, solitary travel. He moves through landscapes and urban peripheries with no predetermined subject, guided by an attentiveness to surfaces, textures, and the tension between natural and man-made environments. The resulting images are not documents of places but traces of perceptual states — what it felt like to stand in a particular spot at a particular moment.

His projects span multiple countries and climates — from the Mediterranean coast to Central European winters, from North African Medinas to South Asian temples — yet share a consistent visual identity: muted tonal palettes interrupted by sudden chromatic tension, natural light, and compositions that hover between abstraction and documentary precision.

HAPAX is represented by Image in Progress (Rome) for his fine art limited editions. All prints are produced as signed editions on archival fine art paper.
