Lotto 388 I CARMI DI CATULLO - FILIPPO DE PISIS
Milano, Ulrico Hoepli 1945
In-folio 39x28.5 cm
The edition, enriched by 17 lithographs by De Pisis, was executed in close collaboration between the artist and the publisher, even if in difficult circumstances, due to the air raids. Copy no. 6 of this edition of 150 copies. The print run was originally intended to be coloured by De Pisis, but this project proved to be impractical; only four examples, partially coloured, exist. The artist created those only for the publisher, the printer and two of his friends. Among the most precious printed by Mardersteig. -
