Hutten Richard, The Rotterdam designer Richard Hutten does not regard the design profession as problem-solving but as a way to stimulate the creativity of the user. The Sexy-Relaxy chair is a chair in one piece. The wedge-shaped slit in the seat is striking. When design- ing the chair, he was inspired by the spicy cigarette scene from the film 'Basic instinct' by Paul Verhoeven with Sharon Stone in the lead role. The chair was first presented during Tokyo design week in the year 2000. Marcelis Sabine, In 2013 Sabine Marcelis and Brit van Nerven started collaborating on the project ‘Seeing Glass’ - a series of glass objects resulting from an ongoing study into optical effects created with glass as the primary material. Glass specialists allowed the designers to play around and experiment in their factory to investigate new possibilities and through the use of materials, colour and layer- ing, unexpected effects are created which play with ones visual perception as well as the surrounding space. The Seeing Glass project involved different collectionsone of them being the Off Round mirrors.
