Very Rare, only fifteen known to Crawford. A bold portrait struck on a very broad flan, minor edge marks, anyway good very fine. [Ex Triton, Auction III (1999), lot 847; Stack's (1989), lot 23; Superior Galleries (1987 - The Ryan Collection), lot 4334].

Very rare and a very pleasant specimen of this desirable issue. Two lovely portraits of strong Republican style; nice thick flan and with a wonderful gold toning: about extremely fine.; ;

Rare, lightly iridescent tone. Minor bankers' mark on obverse, otherwise about extremely fine.

Lightly tone and good extremely fine.

Augustus (27 BC - AD 14), Denarius, Caesaraugusta (?), ca. 19-18 BC; AR (g 3,40; mm 18; h 7); CAESAR - AVGVSTVS, bare head r., Rv. MARTIS - VLTORIS, circular domed tetrastyle temple, containing helmeted figure of Mars, holding Aquila and standard over shoulder. RIC 39a; C 194.

Extremely rare. Lightly toned and extremely fine - good extremely fine.

Augustus (27 BC - AD 14), Denarius, Colonia Patricia (?), 18-16 BC; AR (g 3,61; mm 18; h 6); S P Q R CAESARI - AVGVSTO, bare head r., Rv. QVOD – VIAE MVN SVNT, triumphal arch on viaduct, surmounted by Augustus, driving quadriga of horses r.; Victory standing behind Augustus, crowning him; to l. and r. of arches, a rostrum.
